¶ Configuring BitMEX API Key
To generate an API key in your BitMEX account and integrate it with the Tradegrub app, follow these instructions:

¶ Step 1: Navigate To API Key Screen
- Log in to the BitMEX website at https://www.bitmex.com.
- For testnet access, log in at https://testnet.bitmex.com.
- Click the Profile icon in the top navigation bar.
- Select API Keys from the dropdown menu.
¶ Step 2: Create a New API Key
Please AVOID selecting the "Withdrawal" or "Transfer" options when adding an API key, as these are not needed for our app to operate.
- Enter a Name for your key (e.g., "Tradegrub").
Click the + button below CIDR and for Security, it is highly recommended to whitelist specific IP addresses to safeguard your API key.
To whitelist our IP address, refer to the guide - Add Tradegrub IP
Important: Avoid using unrestricted settings, as they significantly reduce account security.
- Set the Key Permissions to Order to allow the placement and cancellation of orders and positions via the API key.
DO NOT check the "Withdrawal" box, as our app does not require this option to function.
- Click the Create API Key button.
- Verify that both Read and Order permissions are checked after the key is created.
